Helen May Beaudoin Cooko Whiteduck

It is with deep love and respect that we announce the passing of Helen May Beaudoin Whiteduck, of Kitigan Zibi, who left us peacefully at her home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 81.
May was the beloved daughter of the late Patrick Beaudoin and Margaret McConini, and the devoted wife of Robert “Cooko” Whiteduck, with whom she shared more than... It is with deep love and respect that we announce the passing of Helen May Beaudoin Whiteduck, of Kitigan Zibi, who left us peacefully at her home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 81.
May was the beloved daughter of the late Patrick Beaudoin and Margaret McConini, and the devoted wife of Robert “Cooko” Whiteduck, with whom she shared more than 63 years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family. She is survived by her sons Tonto and Lloyd, and remembered with love by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her son Russell and her daughter June.
May was a cherished elder of the Kitigan Zibi community, known for her wisdom and her dedication to passing on traditional knowledge. Her guidance, warmth, and teachings will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Home beginning Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at noon. The closing ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, followed by her burial at the Kitigan Zibi Cemetery at noon.
May will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and community.
