On April 18th, 2025, Melody White Meness, at the age of 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Harry Meness. Born in Olean, New York, Melody made her home in Kitigan Zibi Anishinabe Reserve in Maniwaki, Quebec.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Scott, granddaughters Charmaine, Ivy-Rose, Faith, and Lily, and grandsons Sky and Winston.
Melody was a light that shined brightly in the community, deeply devoted to her family and friends, she loved her people dearly. Wherever she went she brought joy and love with her bubbling personality and generous soul. Her life touched lives profoundly. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and faith lives on. Let us remember how she lived her life, and she lived it for Jesus.

Funeral Services will be held at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Home, 91 Kichi Mikan, Maniwaki QC.
Wake Visitation: Wednesday, April 23rd from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Funeral Service: Thursday, April 24th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Burial Service: Thursday April 24th from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at Kitigan Zibi Cemetery.
Brunch Feast & Bingo: To follow at the Kitigan Zibi Community Hall, 311 rue Fafard, Maniwaki QC.
